Sarah Yearsley

BTPA ECBS CNHC

“Sarah is a star! She has helped keep my body together despite taking a continual bashing climbing up mountains and through jungles filming a new Channel 4 Survival Series – I am a convert!” Bear Grylls – Everest Climber, Channel 4 Presenter & Best-Selling Author.

Sarah began her training as a Complementary Health practitioner in 1997. She trained as a Bowen Technique Therapist at the European College of Bowen Studies and is an Advanced Practitioner in Neurostructural Integration Technique (NST) – which is an advanced form of Bowen and Spinal Therapy.

She is a member of the Bowen Therapy Professional Association (BTPA) and The Complementary and Natural Health Care Council (CNHC) . Sarah has studied to be a teacher trainer in Mindfulness for Health with Breathworks. This she integrates into her practice as well as being happy to offer one-to-one Mindfulness sessions.

Bowen Technique is a manual therapy involving very gentle movements of the therapist’s hands and fingers over muscles, ligaments and tendons where there is injury or pain. This stimulates sensory nerve endings at the site of injury to relay information back to the central nervous system. Appropriate messages are sent back to correct and adjust the tensions at the injury site, thus speeding recovery and reducing pain.

Bowen Technique is suitable for all ages including babies and the elderly.

Sarah has 15 years of experience using Bowen Technique and Advanced NST Bowen to treat a wide variety of symptoms successfully .

Jess Morris

BA Hons, PG Dip, MA, AFT, UKCP

I am a fully qualified systemic psychotherapist, am registered with AFT and accredited by UKCP. I work with children, young people and families in the NHS who are coping with serious struggles, and currently offer psychotherapy appointments on Tuesday evenings at the River Clinic.

Throughout my career I have worked in many different types of settings, including charities, schools, local authorities, the NHS and in private practice. I have worked with many diverse issues and subjects, which families and individuals have encountered.

My experience has shown me that families and individuals have unique ways of getting through their struggles. I tailor my approach to suit who ever I am working with and together we find our way through. This can mean working across whole family groups offering sessions together and sometimes individually. We will think together about what is going to work best for you at the time. I work with children, young people and their families, adult family groups, couples and adult individuals.

I aim to provide a non-judgemental safe space where clients can talk about and work on what they would like to change. Using a strengths based approach, I support clients to build on and recognise their own skills and resilience. I am creative and like using different types of communication, especially when words can be hard to find, using objects, drawing, making and play to support expression.
